Senior Web Developer
We’re looking for an enthusiastic web developer to join us and get stuck in to developing all aspects of the Create system.
You’ll enjoy solving complex problems with code and love making stuff happen.
You’ll care about writing well structured, secure and high performance code, and that it’s well tested.
You’ll be able to explain technical concepts in simple understandable terms for the benefit of less technical members of the company.
We believe that making a website should be simple. But with over 50% of small businesses in the UK without one, we want to break down the barriers and ensure that every small business can benefit from being seen online. We believe in doing everything we can to help individuals and small businesses maximise their online presence.
We are committed to providing great service, straight-talking information and the right tools for making business online a success. We believe in our nation of shopkeepers and want to ensure that everyone is able to leverage the advantages of digital innovation.
Our offices are based just past Brighton University in a sustainable development. Our building is made with local materials such as sweet chestnut timber cladding and East Sussex clay, and we’re powered by wind turbines, solar heating panels and collected surface water. We strive to work in a way that is sustainable, ethically responsible and environmentally friendly. We value integrity, honesty, transparency and thoughtfulness.
Customer success is at the heart of our business: we are successful when our customers achieve their dreams.
You’ll join our product team during an exciting phase of our product development cycle, building new, and improving current tools used by thousands of people every day to start and manage their own businesses online.
You’ll have a passion for continual personal development and enjoy sharing your knowledge and expertise with the rest of the team, helping less experienced team members develop their skills.
You’ll be involved with the planning, testing and documentation of features and functionality.
